NEXT GENERAL MEETING, SUNDAY, JANUARY 11
1:00 PM  at PUD #3  SHELTON

PROGRAM WILL BE MINI-WORKSHOP WITH ANNA HOEY
Anna Hoey will be our featured speaker and will give us an opportunity to try our hand at mixing watercolor and pastel on various papers.  Our business meeting will be short  so that we have time to play with the materials until 4:00 PM.
Those participating in the workshop can bring some watercolors, a brush, a water container, and pastels if you have them.  We will have some materials available for those who don’t have them.  Anna is providing the papers.
Anna was our Best in Show winner at the Spring Show, 2008, and has an MA in Art and studied Illustration at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle.  She has done freelance commissioned art work and has taught art classes at Olympic College.  She belongs to Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton and A is for Artists Gallery on Bainbridge Island.  She teaches one on one classes from her studio near Belfair as well as a community service class.

"WHITE" CHRISTMAS PARTY  DEC. 14.

In spite of the snow falling on Sunday, December 14, twenty-five people came out to enjoy the PAA Christmas party at Becky Schuyten’s home.  The early afternoon party was well timed, because by evening the weather had become prohibitive to travel.  A delicious meal was provided by everyone bringing a dish and a lot of fun was generated by the Chinese Auction that followed to give the participants gifts to take home.  It was suggested that the annual party be held regularly on a Sunday afternoon to allow those who do not drive at night to attend.
A big "THANK YOU" to Becky for opening her home and all her work to prepare for the party.  Click for photos from the party
